Thanks Man, I am dressing up, going out to eat good food with some friend and dancing all night. I haven’t done that in a long time.

I might take this girl I know from the gym with me. She is from Czechoslovakia. She is a traveler just like me.

The days of being a traveler were among the best of my life.

There’s one miracle that I’ve been thinking of for a while that I didn’t know when to talk about. In 2001 I worked at a job in Central Florida with the most amazing people. We were like family. It was a crew of a bit over 20 of us each worknight we’d bring in food and have a “family meal” around several office tables placed in a row.

A few years later, about 20 years ago now. I was working in North Illinois at a manufacturing company, the location was fairly close to the Wisconsin border. I was alone there and reminiscent about that earlier best working experience in my life. I never saw most of those teammates again. They were scattered across different jobs and homes across the USA. There were a couple that I’d lost track of and I really wished I could see them again.

A couple days later I was driving back to my hotel room after work and I saw this Whole Foods. I’d never been to a Whole Foods before so I figured I’d check it out, maybe I’d get something different than the usual restaurant food. As I started filling up at the salad bar I bump into the two former coworkers that I’d recently reminisced about and hoped to see again. One lived in South Florida and the other Detroit. They were coincidently just paired up to visit a prospective customer. Their management had offered their services for free for a couple of days at a company completely unrelated to the one I was working at but in the same general area.

I was very thankful about that gift from GOD.

I also learned that day when you fill up a styrofoam tray full of veggies and meat at the Whole Foods you might be in for a huge surprise at the price when you reach the cash register.

That is a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing that. I love it when that stuff happens. That is truly a gift.

Just got home from the gym. Thinking about things. This journey has not been easy for me. The last leg started about 5 years now, I gave away everything I owned to someone who was broken and had nothing. It has been one leap of faith after another. Over and over. I have moments where I was down to one cigarette, a 1/8 of a tank of gas and one can of soup only to raise my hands and say I am open to receive, and 30 minutes later I’m standing there with 30,000 cash n my hand and i heading in a completely new direction. It’s not been an easy journey at all. I have so many people who say, I live vicariously through you. They think it’s all fun and amazing. It is all that and there is moments of doubt, feeling lonely and all that.

I walked through so many deserts with nothing but faith and spent some amazing times in oasis along the way. I am walking out of a desert right now. Where I have been completely dependent upon Mana from Heaven.

I was feeling kind of depressed this morning… Its okay to feel that way. I just feel it. If you try to change that feeling or distract yourself from feeling feelings, it just makes the moment you feel them worse. So I just feel them but I don’t get stuck in them because I been feeling stuck in the waiting….

I went to the gym and crushed it this morning. I did 250 push ups and 200 sit ups in 37:17 second flat. Beat my all time record of 47 minutes by 10 minutes.

Not bad for a young man with a white beard. I am getting stronger as I age, not the other way around as it is for most other people. Something to be grateful for. 🙂

I am going to take a nap and then I will begin creating again.

Thanks again for sharing that experience. Really Good stuff. P.S. I love the Whole Foods salad bar. hahaha

I was feeling a little blue this morning too and then I heard in today’s church sermon about how ex-Seal Jocko Willnik responding to everything he experiences or is told with the word “Good”.

Jocko has a habit of saying ‘Good” if someone gives him certain types of bad news or an issue that is going on and this is something that is both simple and highly powerful. For him, something bad going on means that something good is going to happen because of it.

It gave me something to think about this morning as I collected a bottle of Canada Dry that I won during the pouring Canadian rain at the gas station.

Congrats on beating your record. That’s a great start to 2025.

I have been walking through a season of financial difficulties; it happens to everyone. Everyone walks through those. I am crossing into a new season and so I know that I am about to thrive. It has been a long time since I walked though that season. Plus, I love the sun. I miss the sunshine. It rains here a lot. I didn’t mean to sound unempathetic to you John. I glad you walked through that and found an inspiration to pull out of it. My inspiration came from last summer. I posted it today.

I didn’t read anything as unempathetic. I’ve been feeling like Job lately dealing with so many things concurrently, so your site has been a blessing in itself. Thank you.
