Favorite memory 2024.
Short note this morning. Someone asked me what my favorite memory was of 2024. It had nothing to do with miracles even though I experienced a great deal of them. I experienced some really mind-bending stuff this year. Yesterday I helped a lady by gaining her a tremendous opportunity she wouldn’t have, had I not made a phone call on her behalf.
You never know who you are talking to and who they know. I treat everyone with the same respect from the janitor to Ceo’s. They didn’t even know that was available to them. I see them all the time at a place I frequent always working. Alot of the staff at that place stands around at the front counter playing on their phone. Every time I see this person, she is working hard. Even if she doesn’t have anything to do, she will start cleaning equipment. So, I started chatting with her. I said dude you are hard worker! I call everybody dude. hahaha. You are my favorite person who works here. You are always smiling and busy working. As we were chatting, she told me about some ideas she had. Really Good ideas! I said Hey! I know someone who would love your ideas! Let me make a quick phone call because I know a lot of people. One quick phone call and their personal income increased 1000-fold in 2025. It was the perfect way to finish the year and set the stage for the new year. I love doing stuff like this! Especially for really good people, who if they just had the right opportunity, and the right contact, a foot in the door, will run with it. It wasn’t a handout; it was the result that they work hard even when they think nobody notices. I noticed and it opened the door to tremendous opportunity for them. They took her on board and offered her a salary she thought it would take her over 10 years to achieve with hard work and determination. That is a radical life changing intersection. I am super happy for her. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist THE DUDE in her life. The rest of that will be between God, myself, them and my friend. I think that is my favorite thing to do. The perfect way to end the year and set the stage for the new year.
When I reflected on the last year and all that I had done in 2024. I have 2 favorite memories. One I will keep between THE DUDE and myself.
It wasn’t standing inside a rainbow on the top of a mountain. Which I have stood inside a rainbow twice, now. Standing right in the middle of the start of a rainbow is cool but not my favorite thing. It wasn’t driving giant Tonka trucks in the mountains or any of that stuff. It wasn’t participating in miracles for others or even experiencing them myself. It wasn’t sitting on the road watching a herd of 300 elk pass by. It wasn’t dating beautiful women or any of that stuff. It certainly wasn’t the Election of any of that.
My favorite experience was; While I was when I was living out on Eagle Mountain Arabian Horse Ranch in a scaled replica of The City of The Gods. I would wake up very early in the morning, grabbing coffee, going to sit out on the gondola (the temple of the moon) with my meditation books, lighting up a smoke, watching the sunrise. Every single morning for 3 months, every single morning at sunrise, I’d watch the baby fillies and colts get released from their corrals out into the pasture before me. I would see them run, prance, dance and play as the sun crested the mountains behind them. It was so beautiful to witness. We also had mini cows, and the baby mini cows would also be out there next to the baby horses, jumping and prancing with them. It was so funny to watch. So beautiful and innocent. I would be out there giggling like a 4-year-old little boy who wanted to grow up to be a cowboy watching them play. Every time. They are so free.

For a month we had this Big Stud on the ranch named Vitally. He is a retired, 5-time World Title Champion Arabian Horse. This horse is huge and covered in muscles. A true marvel of a sight to see. They were studding him out at $50,000 a squirt. Big Money! Every morning at sunrise… Every Monning at sunrise, the baby fillies and colts get released from their corrals out into the pasture next to where Vitally was. I had never before in my life seen young horses act like teenagers in the 60s at an Elvis Concert while looking at another Horse. They acted just teenagers at an Elvis Concert. You could see the awe-struck look on their faces as they watched The Big Stud before them. Those fillies and colts would just be beside themselves and He would Jump and prance around and show off. It was one of the the most awesome things to witness. Vitally is the Tip of the Tippy Top, 5-time World Champion and all of them fillies and colts knew that and recognized it. They would try to get his attention and sometime times he would look at them and snort. I never seen horses be like that before. I would laugh so much watching them show off for him and him showing off for them. It was awesome to watch that every day at sunrise.
At sun rise the sun would begin to crescent the top of the cascade mountains and paint the sky in elaborate and vibrant colors. I would greet the day by saying Grand Rising DUDE! let there be light! You are such a beautiful artist! I am so very grateful to witness your creative force. I am excited to see what you have planned for the day.
I am heading to breakfast with a friend. Steak and Eggs. 🙂 Hope you all have a very Happy New Year!

That’s a great memory Andy, very visual. Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks Man, I am dressing up, going out to eat good food with some friend and dancing all night. I haven’t done that in a long time.
I might take this girl I know from the gym with me. She is from Czechoslovakia. She is a traveler just like me.
The days of being a traveler were among the best of my life.
There’s one miracle that I’ve been thinking of for a while that I didn’t know when to talk about. In 2001 I worked at a job in Central Florida with the most amazing people. We were like family. It was a crew of a bit over 20 of us each worknight we’d bring in food and have a “family meal” around several office tables placed in a row.
A few years later, about 20 years ago now. I was working in North Illinois at a manufacturing company, the location was fairly close to the Wisconsin border. I was alone there and reminiscent about that earlier best working experience in my life. I never saw most of those teammates again. They were scattered across different jobs and homes across the USA. There were a couple that I’d lost track of and I really wished I could see them again.
A couple days later I was driving back to my hotel room after work and I saw this Whole Foods. I’d never been to a Whole Foods before so I figured I’d check it out, maybe I’d get something different than the usual restaurant food. As I started filling up at the salad bar I bump into the two former coworkers that I’d recently reminisced about and hoped to see again. One lived in South Florida and the other Detroit. They were coincidently just paired up to visit a prospective customer. Their management had offered their services for free for a couple of days at a company completely unrelated to the one I was working at but in the same general area.
I was very thankful about that gift from GOD.
I also learned that day when you fill up a styrofoam tray full of veggies and meat at the Whole Foods you might be in for a huge surprise at the price when you reach the cash register.
That is a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing that. I love it when that stuff happens. That is truly a gift.
Just got home from the gym. Thinking about things. This journey has not been easy for me. The last leg started about 5 years now, I gave away everything I owned to someone who was broken and had nothing. It has been one leap of faith after another. Over and over. I have moments where I was down to one cigarette, a 1/8 of a tank of gas and one can of soup only to raise my hands and say I am open to receive, and 30 minutes later I’m standing there with 30,000 cash n my hand and i heading in a completely new direction. It’s not been an easy journey at all. I have so many people who say, I live vicariously through you. They think it’s all fun and amazing. It is all that and there is moments of doubt, feeling lonely and all that.
I walked through so many deserts with nothing but faith and spent some amazing times in oasis along the way. I am walking out of a desert right now. Where I have been completely dependent upon Mana from Heaven.
I was feeling kind of depressed this morning… Its okay to feel that way. I just feel it. If you try to change that feeling or distract yourself from feeling feelings, it just makes the moment you feel them worse. So I just feel them but I don’t get stuck in them because I been feeling stuck in the waiting….
I went to the gym and crushed it this morning. I did 250 push ups and 200 sit ups in 37:17 second flat. Beat my all time record of 47 minutes by 10 minutes.
Not bad for a young man with a white beard. I am getting stronger as I age, not the other way around as it is for most other people. Something to be grateful for. 🙂
I am going to take a nap and then I will begin creating again.
Thanks again for sharing that experience. Really Good stuff. P.S. I love the Whole Foods salad bar. hahaha
I was feeling a little blue this morning too and then I heard in today’s church sermon about how ex-Seal Jocko Willnik responding to everything he experiences or is told with the word “Good”.
Jocko has a habit of saying ‘Good” if someone gives him certain types of bad news or an issue that is going on and this is something that is both simple and highly powerful. For him, something bad going on means that something good is going to happen because of it.
It gave me something to think about this morning as I collected a bottle of Canada Dry that I won during the pouring Canadian rain at the gas station.
Congrats on beating your record. That’s a great start to 2025.
Great Perspective John. Thanks! Yes, Focus on the Good. All the time. 🙂
We are on to a good start for the new year.
I have been walking through a season of financial difficulties; it happens to everyone. Everyone walks through those. I am crossing into a new season and so I know that I am about to thrive. It has been a long time since I walked though that season. Plus, I love the sun. I miss the sunshine. It rains here a lot. I didn’t mean to sound unempathetic to you John. I glad you walked through that and found an inspiration to pull out of it. My inspiration came from last summer. I posted it today.
I didn’t read anything as unempathetic. I’ve been feeling like Job lately dealing with so many things concurrently, so your site has been a blessing in itself. Thank you.
